Grenwood SC - TWO Loveable senior labs.....need homes or rescue!!!

 BRADY ABOVE BIG SWEETIE BELOW

Tammy B. Holmes
Rescue Coordinator
HUMANE SOCIETY OF GREENWOOD
|HSOG offices 864.223.2498
shelter 864.942.8558|adoption 864.942.8775

We have 2 Seniors here that have really tugged at our heartstrings. Brady and Big Sweetie! They were both turned into the shelter by their owners.
Brady #22891535
Brady is an 11 yr old Lab mix, a spayed female. She is very gentle, loving, and well mannered. Brady was turned in by her owner, (brace yourself for this reason), because they were going on vacation. The owners said that they were going on vacation for 2 months and had been planning it for a while. Their pet sitter backed out on them and so they brought Brady up to the shelter and just signed her over.  Brady is a lovely girl, at first she was so nervous being here she couldn't keep any food down. We found her a friend "Big Sweetie" and it has seemed to help her alot to settle down and relax. Brady is an older girl but still gets around good.

Big Sweetie #22262611
Big Sweetie is 13 years old and a Lab / Golden mix, a neutered male. He is a great guy, loves everyone he meets and is in GREAT condition to be his age. He is still very playful and likes to go walking. Big Sweetie was turned in by his owner after they had gotten him from another home 2 years earlier because she said she didn't have time to spend with him anymore. She had just been leaving him in the backyard with hardly any interaction. Big Sweetie is a big guy with a lot of love to give.

I think both of these sweet older babies would be great in any home, they still have energy and would be great with kids. They get along great and are now roommates, we really hope to find help for our senior babies. Can you help them?

URGENT!! Union County NC - senior spaniel Jetta needs rescue now!

Jetta is a female Spaniel Mix that came into the shelter on Saturday. Jetta’s mom is going into a nursing facility and is unable to take Jetta with her. Jetta is 12 years old and weighs approx.. 20 lbs. We are currently calling to find out if Jetta has been spayed. Jetta is an extremely happy girl that loves everyone. Jetta really wants your attention. She would make a great couch potato!! Jetta walks well on a leash and stays right beside you, she does not pull you and if you are behind her, she stops and looks back to make sure you are still with her.

We would like a commitment by a rescue by Thursday, June 5th.

Do you have a spot for Sheldon?

Sheldon from Animals Can't Talk Rescue and Adoption (ACT) and thousands of other pets will be available for FREE adoption during Maddie's Pet Adoption Days in NYC, May 31 & June 1, 2014. http://bit.ly/MPADNYC

Sheldon was adopted from Animals Can't Talk Rescue and Adoption (ACT) when he was a kitten. The 6-year-old is back because, unfortunately, his pet parent is dying. Sheldon doesn't like to be held but he sure does like to nuzzle you and he will purr and purr when you pet him. He's looking for a quiet home with a patient person. Could that be you? Please e-mail strictlycats@verizon.net.

Lauri & Lauren are twice as nice!

Lauri from Animals Can't Talk Rescue and Adoption (ACT) and thousands of other pets will be available for FREE adoption during Maddie's Pet Adoption Days in NYC, May 31 & June 1, 2014. http://bit.ly/MPADNYC

An extremely beautiful tabby, Lauri was one of several cats found in an apartment three weeks after her owners committed suicide. The 14-year-old cat is bonded to 14-year-old Lauren, a lovely gray, green-eyed kitty who lived in the same home. Both cats are understandably confused and are waiting at Animals Can't Talk Rescue and Adoption (ACT) for a kind person to adopt them together. Please e-mail strictlycats@verizon.net.

Lauren from Animals Can't Talk Rescue and Adoption (ACT) and thousands of other pets will be available for FREE adoption during Maddie's Pet Adoption Days in NYC, May 31 & June 1, 2014. http://bit.ly/MPADNYC

Gorgeous, gray, green-eyed Lauren was one of several cats found in a house three weeks after her owners committed suicide. Upon a thorough vet examination, it was discovered that the 14-year-old cat had mouth cancer, and she had surgery to remove it. Now Lauren, along with 14-year-old Lauri, another cat who was also in the house, are at Animals Can't Talk Rescue and Adoption (ACT), waiting to be adopted together. You can feel twice as good and be doubly rewarded by providing this winsome duo with a stable, forever home. Please e-mail strictlycats@verizon.net.

Wanna take away Rockaway?

Rockaway from The Patricia H. Ladew Foundation and thousands of other pets will be available for FREE adoption during Maddie's Pet Adoption Days in NYC, May 31 & June 1, 2014. http://bit.ly/MPADNYC

It's hard to believe that someone would give away Rockaway! The 10-year-old is not only a hearthrob, he's a sweetheart too. Still, The Patricia H. Ladew Foundation found this guy at the city shelter. He's declawed and has a heart murmur, but it's a condition that doesn't require any medication at this time. All that Rockaway requires is a forever home! Want to take away Rockaway? Call (516) 922-2287 to make an appointment to meet him.

Ready to get swept up by Toto's charms?

Toto from Pluto Rescue and thousands of other pets will be available for FREE adoption during Maddie's Pet Adoption Days in NYC, May 31 & June 1, 2014. http://bit.ly/MPADNYC

Toto, a purebred Affenpinscher, came to P.L.U.T.O. Rescue of Richmond County and was put into foster care when his owner could no longer care for him. This handsome 8-year-old gentleman is very friendly and quiet. Once he gets to know you he is steadfastly loyal and loving. Toto has cataracts and needs insulin to control his diabetes but he's ready to find his new forever home, which can include other dogs and cats. He would do best, though, in a home without children. Ready to get swept up by Toto's charms? E-mail plutorescue@aol.com or visit http://plutorescue.petfinder.org/
